I use these brushes for painting models and miniatures, and this set has a very nice range of sizes for these projects.The packaging is pretty nice, with a fabric bag and a plastic tube you can store it all in.The brush handles are ergonomic triangular style, and I think they are quite comfortable, but the downside being they won't always fit into brush holders you may have.The quality seems good so far, with all brushes having good bristles and shapes to them, nothing out of place.A lot of time these brush sets will include a few brushes that just don't fit with what you'll be using them for, either weird shapes or too large etc, but for models painting these are all great and useful sizes. Some are very small and useful for fine detail, some are a bit lather, better for doing a base coat or painting terrain. But good variety and amount of brushes for the price.Just make sure you wash the brushes out before using them, they do have some kind of coating on the bristles and you need to wash it out before using, there are included instructions on how to do so, and it's simple, but be advised as not everyone is going to read the instructions on paint brushes.They also come with a manufacturers warranty you can fill out. I believe it is good for 1 year if there are any defects (not from wear and tear)Overall I really like these brushes for what I use them for, and can sagely recommend these brushes to anyone who would use them for miniature painting. And at a much cheaper price per brush than, say, citadel brushes, I say it's an awesome deal.

I am just getting started painting so I am not a authority on brushes but as a beginner I like these very much. The triangle design makes them very comfortable to hold. The new brush prepping and cleaning instructions that came with the brushes is helpful and easy to understand. I like the variety of brush sizes and I think $26 is a good deal for 12 hand made brushes with their own case.I've had some communication with the company in order to register these for the warranty and they have been very kind, helpful and responsive. I also like that it's a family run shop.Like I said I'm just a beginner but I am very much looking forwarded to learning to paint miniatures and I feel confident that I got the right brush set for that.

I bought these brushes for detail work on miniature figures and this review is my own opinion and is based on that use, i cannot comment on canvas or other uses, i have only had them for a couple of days so i cannot say how they will wear but for what i purchased them for they are quite simply some of the best i have used, they hold a good amount of paint, this i am sure is partly due to the length of the bristles, on some figures it is quite difficult to access the tighter areas of the model without risking leaving paint on parts that you did not want to paint but thanks to the slender design and length of the bristles of these brushes and the more comfortable design of shaft it is far easier to paint these areas with far more control than the shorter bristles of most other fine detail brushes that are available in my opinion,so far they have held their shape excellently and i do not expect this to change given proper maintenance. the overall material and build quality of these are over and above what you would normally expect in this price range and the supplier is a pleasure to deal with and extremely helpful. I am in the UK and will not hesitate to use this supplier again in the future and will be recommending them to all of my friends as the product is more than worth the extra shipping time.

This brush set gives off a luxurious, refined impression with all of the thoughtful detail that has been put into its functional design and packaging.I especially appreciate the triangular ridged handle of these brushes- they make sure the brushes don't roll around causing havoc like other lightweight miniature brushes, which is a lifesaver since my art workspace is pretty messy and cramped! The unusual shape of the brush handles aren't awkward to the grip, however, since the entire brush handle has some sort of sleek, glossy, lacquered finish that makes it almost addictive to ride fingers up and down the slick, smooth handle. The brush make itself also seems to be of excellent quality, as I haven't yet experienced any problems with shedding hair, etc.The packaging of these brushes are also a wonderful touch. The brush set already comes with both a fabric drawstring bag and a plastic cup for travel or storage, which is a bonus that many other brush sets do not include (I personally find, however, that the plastic cup is a bit cheap/lightweight and prone to falling over). But each brush in this brush set also comes, almost excessively so, individually sealed in its own plastic baggy, with a plastic cap on the brush end. I recommend to keep the plastic caps instead of disposing them, so that you can cap your brushes when not in use and protect the hairs from getting bent out of shape (especially if you leave them unprotected in the fabric bag they come in).The only reason why I am rating this product four instead of five stars is because of the brush size/shape selection. I really enjoy using flats for blending/blocking in basic colors before going in with the details, however most of the brushes in this set are script or liner types that are too fickle for this purpose (including the rounds). There are only 2 flat-type brushes included in this set, and one of them has already completely worn out of shape after all of my loving abuse with it! I can't really find flats as small as size 0 in basic non-miniature brush sets, so if I could recommend an improvement to this product, it would be to include more flats to make this product a more comprehensive miniature brush set.
