Yes it's waterproof but not sure what the USB dose it's a gd bag and the light up detail is really nice

Q: How does the USB port work?

It's just a usb port. You need to buy a charging pack and plug it in from the inside. Then you just plug your phone lead in on the outside and connect your phone. I bought one for £15 and the power lasts for months. Good if you're travelling and don't have access to power. The bag would be expensive, if it had a power pack with it. I love mine and the character glows great.
