Q: the original v5 had a narrow barrel, and wasn't very comfortable to write with. does this one have a rubber grip? i need something i don't need to grasp firmly.

It does have a rubber grip. I love these pens and I don't have to grasp it firmly, i hold them quite relaxed actually. But I do have small hands.

Q: where can i get refills for these pens, all the colors?

Q: Is the ink permanent?

Yes but I don't believe it is secure ink e.g., Uniball, Singo gel pens. In other words the Pilot ink could be lifted from documents with a chemical process. Is Pilot ink very difficult to remove from clothing? YES.

Q: What colors are in the pack?

Purple, red, green, black, and blue. These pens write beautifully. They glide along the paper.
