Q: Is the adhesive real GENUINE 3M adhesive? I'm questioning this as its not as strong as the adhesive that's on the back of the SeaDek boat flooring

Thanks for the question. Yes, it is Genuine 3M adhesive. Not sure which item of 3M adhesive SeaDeck has used on their products. Ours is 3M 9448A. It 's the more cost-effective one. Besides the adhsesive itself, there're some factors that will affect the effectiveness of the adhesive, such as the workshop processing, transportation circumstance, the application condiction, etc. Please feel free to contact us on Amazon message or e-mail us at our after-sales service e-mail, if there's anything with the products. Q: What is the thickness measurement?

This boat flooring is 6mm(0.24 inches) thick.

Q: Can this be used over plywood with additional adhesive?

Yes. I just put it on a bass boat with plywood decking and used contact cement around edges and a few places in the center. Holds great.

Q: Can this be installed over the original boat carpeting?

Thanks for asking. Self-adhesive boat flooring is recommended for installation on metal or fiberglass decks or other flat, smooth surfaces. Before installation, it needs to be removed the old carpet and wash the floor cleanly, get rid of any dirt. We don’t think it will stick to bunk carpet made of materials such as polyester or polycarbonate.
