Simple, easy to pair with Zigbee2mqtt, accurate
From the time I took it out of the box to having it report correctly into Home Assistant was less than a minute. I configured Zigbee2mqtt to allow new devices, remove the tab from the included batteries, and it immediately connected and started reporting values through Home Assistant. It's too soon to know how frequently I'll need to change the batteries, but when I need to, it'll be trivial to do so and I love that it uses regular AAA batteries.Despite being rated for indoor use only, I put it outside in a well-protected nook that won't get any rain. So far, so good.It's worth considering Zigbee options like these because they're not routable on your local home network, can't directly phone home to a server in some other country (usually China for many cheap WiFi devices), and can't directly interact with other devices on your LAN or WiFi network. For the privacy and security conscious, that's all a huge plus.

Used to replace my Sonoff sensors that occasionally drop offline and never reconnect.I already have a 3rd reality magnetic door sensor which has been installed for well over a year with no issues so hopefully these will be as good.
