Soil tester
So far it's working ok for soil moisture. I'm not sure if the PH tester is accurate. I've already bent the probes, wish they were a little more sturdy. But for the price it does what it says

Not as helpful for grass (lawns)
Bought this to save money on soil sampling. The range for nitrogen is too high and not very helpful if you’re using it for grass. Probably fine for gardening.

If you pay attention, it'll work for you!
I found this fairly easy to use, and the results fairly easy to interpret. Lab analysis would give more precise info, but I really don't see the need for that. Nutrient levels in soil aren't written in stone, and with a bit of study, they're easy to adjust.

Cool test kit!
I got this to test the soil quality of some indoor plants. It turns out you are supposed to start with 1 cup of soil, so I think it's intended more for outdoor use, but it still works for smaller plants if you can get enough soil to grind up and sift a few tablespoons. I did not end up using a whole cup of soil. The directions are pretty easy, and while I don't have anything to compare the results to, I feel they are accurate enough for my needs. I have plenty of test materials for lots more tests so it will last me a while.

Results don't make sense.
I tested two lawn soil samples (averaged sampled) and a few controls: potting soil, barren soil, tap water and dissolved fertilizer. Other than, pH, iresults didn't make much sense. Fertilizer is low in Nitrogen and tap water is high in Potassium???The reagents may be expired, lack of QC controls. Barely any color change in general.Btw, I am a scientist and analytical testing is what I do for a living. pH reading made sense.

Terrible instructions
I thought the instructions and labeling of contents was terrible. I'm not sure if I did it right or not. Next time I will just send a soil sample to my local county extension

Did the trick
Assuming the results were accurate, this was a good set of tests. Giving it 4 stars because the instructions weren't very clear.
