My mom has an addition on her house that isn’t connected to her a/c ductwork. It gets really hot so last year she added a room air conditioner. My husband built a stand for it to sit on but it’s made out of wood and after only a year, it’s already weathered and sagging. We were looking for a different option that will withstand the elements and I think we have found it with these brackets. Right out of the box, we could tell these brackets were heavy duty and solid. They were so easy to install and the window unit feels so stable sitting on them. The unit she has fits perfectly but the way they are designed, they will hold a variety of sizes. Not only does the unit seem much more stable on these brackets, it looks so much better than the sagging wood we had it on. Super happy with these!!

Very sturdy and robust! Pleased with the item, bought a second one! Have old windows that just couldn’t hold the weight of my window ac. It would be a 5 stars, but the instructions are a bit rough to follow. I called it “interpretive construction.” You can get it done if you have some level of problem solving acumen and can extrapolate from incomplete date fairly well, but if this is something you struggle with, maybe not the best product for you.

Heavy duty! I am always so worried that my AC will fall out of the window especially since the window it sits in has broken springs. This really helps quell those fears and is much more dependable than a 2x4, especially since it can be adjusted to fit the size of your window for a really secure fit. It does take some assembly but all of the tools are provided.

Simple to put together and feels very solid once installed. I like that it can be positioned in more than one way, which makes it flexible for different windows. It’s been working well with our unit, and I feel confident in the support.

I hunted Amazon yesterday for reviews on window a/c unit brackets for over an hour. I wanted something that had high reviews, was not that hard to put together and would last. I received this today and it took about an hour or so to put together and adjust in the window frame. I'm a 63 year old woman, and a took a couple of breaks in between.The bracket is sturdy, comes with extra screws, has tools, and even include the rubber topping so there is not vibration of shifting of the unit. Note - other brackets have this clip insert spring device. This unit came with actual bolts. Not slipping anywhere on this thing. What I would recommend to have on hand is a magnifying glass (the print and pictures are really small on the directions), an electric drill with a Phillip's head screwdriver bit, and a pair of plyers. This will make it easier than using some of the provided tools.The unit pictured is a Midea 12,000 and weighs about 80 pounds. I was able to heave ho this thing into the window and adjust it by myself. I am done with removing the window air conditioners in my house when winter hits in Florida, an installing when needed. My 3.5 year old ac goes out every year and is a lemon. Parts have taken a week or more and hotels get expensive. This time I am ready. I am not leaving my house and paying for a hotel, or sweating to death if I don't have the units installed while I am waiting on the repairs.Anyhow, I really recommend this bracket, and I am very pleased with this purchase. I am a picky person, and this is a quality product. I don't think the framing will rust. The screws I am sure will since no company thinks to offer an option of stainless steel screws, instead of the cheap screws that rust. Everything rusts in Florida, so I am sure the only replacement on this will be the screws.Hope this helps other people with deciding on purchasing a window unit ac bracket. I took a chance based on the pictures alone, and no reviews. I cannot believe I landed on my feet!
