Say what you like about Tom, Cruise, but his dedication to practical stunt work and filmmaking is legendary. From the motorcycle work in MI2, hanging on the side of a building in Ghost Protocol to Hanging onto the side of a plane in the opening moments of Rogue Nation, they all compare into insignificance compared to the stacked stunt work of Fallout.Add a stellar cast featuring Henry Cavill, Sean Harris, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, call back characters from previous movies, a musical score with a massive sense of foreboding and drama, and a plot that picks up from the end of Rogue Nation and threatens nuclear armageddon. Unlike the previous movies in this franchise, this one feels altogether more grown up and serious thanks in part to the amazing work of Harris as anti-IMF leader Solomon Lane, and Henry Cavill's physical portrayal of the double agent at the heart of the plotThere's a reason this was the best action movie of 2018 yet was a sleeper hit due to the Marvel Universe coming of age in Infinity War. Well worth your investment watching alongside Rogue Nation

Super movie as are all in the MI franchise.

Beginning was good, set the scene well - but personally found it a little boring in the middle. Ending was as climactic as you expect and definitely grabbed my attention.Storyline is easy to follow though I did feel some of the protagonists weren't that 'fleshed out' in depth. I wasn't expecting that anyway but feels like they could've given more vocal time to some of the villains without making them just quiet and moody.Visuals are great - you can see some CGI like the prolonged helicopter crash scenes but it's acceptable given it's from 2018 and there must have been a LOT of editing work to get it into the state it is - and that state is very good still.Tom is the usual Ethan - cheeky, spontaneous and his Luck is dialled up to 11 in this one, a little too high for my liking. Dead Reckoning was maybe 10% more 'realistic' - if that's a word that can even be used with an MI movie - but it was the right balance. Fallout goes too far with Ethan basically being superhuman - helicopter crash scenes I'm looking at you.Henry Cavill is positioned to be this big hammer-not-a-scalpel / Hulk-like brute and he plays it pretty well - but to me he looks like a heavily built 007 since his face and hair are suave so it didn't work as well as it could.Overall a good watch though.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout (Blu-ray)Absolutely the best Mission: Impossible installment.I am a great fan of the whole Mission: Impossible series, but I can say that this one beats all the previous movies.Amazing cast, including old IMF team: Tom Cruise as Ethan Hawk, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn and Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, as well as Henry Cavill as August Walker, Sean Harris as Solomon Lane, Alec Baldwin as Alan Hunley, Rebecca Ferguson as Elsa Faust and Vanessa Kirby as The White Widow.Screenplay is very good, special effects are stunning, sound effects as well as music are great. Even the car pursuit scenes are memorable (BMW e28!) and everything is spiced with a bit of humour typical for MI series (especially Hawk & Walker or IMF team scenes).Highly recommended to buy a Blu-ray version due to the clear picture, superior sound and to watch with a good sound speakers setup to have a proper feel of this movie (by a proper feel, I mean the depth of sound, especially low tones with just a moderate overall volume being enough).Simply, one of the best action/adventure movies of last decade.If my recommendation is not sufficient, it should be enough to say that Mission: Impossible - Fallout received numerous award nominations and won several awards, including a prestigious Saturn award for the best action/adventure movie.Great product!

Have been looking forward to watching this one, seems it's taken it's time to become available on Blu-ray, however the wait is over.Your Mission should you choose to accept......only this time it goes wrong as Ethan played by Tom Cruise chooses the life of his close associate Luther(Ving Rhames) over retrieving the plutonium he was supposed to do..However Ethan with the help of Luther and Benji (Simon Pegg) is determined to hunt down the mysterious leader of the Apostles who threaten to trigger a series of nuclear hits.Trouble is because he'd let the rogue group escape with the plutonium he now has a shadow August Walker played by Henri Cavill imposed upon him by the C.I.A Director..........The chase will take them to Paris, London and finishing up in KashmirCan the team who are joined again by Ilsa (Rebecca Ferguson) prevent the evil intent of the Apostle Organisation or will this be one mission to far for Ethan and his team. ?A superb action-packed thrill ride tat excites at every turn, certainly doesn't disappoint.Tom Cruise still does many of his own stunts, kinda wonder how much longer he'll do this especially after breaking his ankle doing a roof-top jump whilst filming this one.I certainly enjoyed this one as indeed i have with what has gone before..............If a fan you'll not want to miss this one.
