Pull apart the old key fob and gently swap all the insides.a) get the key cutb) swap the keys as wellI havent figured out how to do that yet so Im speaking to my mechanic on Friday

The fob is very qood quality, changing it over was a bit more of a faff than anticipated. In addition to switching the key blade from the old fob I also had to switch the spring mechanism as I couldn't get the blade to work with the new one. The container slot for the transponder chip on the old key is very snug, on the new fob it falls out any time you open the fob up, these are very expensive to replace if you lose or damage them (ask me how I know). I wedged it in with some tissue and it's fine. The blade would not release initially but eventually worked after backing off the screw that holds the fob together. All in all though a quality replacement for a low price (be careful with those transponder chips!)

Bought for VW T5, UK.Unfortunately the metal key of original is thicker. Also the small glass transponder housing is not the same on the supplied one. The holes on the circuit board did not quite line up also.Had to modify and adapt to accommodate and make it work.

Key is fine however the top part the immobiliser chip don’t fit so unable to use the top half of the key wouldn’t recommend if you need a whole key
