Amazon Basics Tie-Out Cable for Dogs up to 60 lbs, 25 feet, Blue

Good quality and durable. Lightweight for a small 10lb dog but durable for his strength of pulling!! And has not tangled.

So far this tie out cable has worked really well for my 110 pound German Shepard! I have had it a few weeks now and I wanted to wait to write a review because I wanted to be sure there were no product issues. I have had no issues and it’s sturdy and does not get all knotted up like the much thinner tie-out cable we purchase from the store for our pit bull who is half my GSD’s size. I am outside in the front yard working while I put him on this cable, I don’t leave him unattended just because. I also clip it to his harness so it won’t choke him. He is not very friendly to dogs he doesn’t know or some strangers and I feel completely okay having him on this cable because I really don’t think he will break it, trying to get at anything he feels is a threat. It’s pretty long so he can lay in the grass or stay in the garage on the couch. I added a thick carabiner to the end so I can loop it through and attach it to the loop in the cable just for my sanity. The clips on the end seem pretty strong but my baby is very very strong so the carabiner gives me peace of mind. He is older and hasn’t tried to chew through it, he doesn’t do that anymore he’s 4 now, he only chews on his squeaky toys and tennis balls. The price was much cheaper than any in the box stores so that of course is why I pretty much use Amazon for stuff like this. It came within one day with Prime as well. I tie it around a tree in the yard and double it up too because it’s long enough to do that and still give him room to play. It’s well made and I feel like we will get a decent amount of time out of this purchase. But I tie it always to his harness not a collar, I definitely recommend that. I also bring it inside when it’s not in use so it won’t rust but I did accidentally leave it outside and it wasn’t rusty at all. Anyway give it a try!

Great for campsite freedom. My German Shepard dog is leash trained so respects the confinement. He has enough length to walk around the whole campsite and to get into the backseat of my car where he could rest/nap. I imagine a dog that is not leash trained would fight the leash. Worked very well for us.

Bought this Amazon basic tie out after my other had broke. Half the price of my older one that was bought at hardware store. Appears durable and at 25ft., my dog has plenty of room to walk the backyard. Great price and fast shipping.
