Nice tool. Gets the job done, but it was not quite as easy to use as I hoped. Probably better options out there for pinewood derby cars.

I sawed partway through my thumb
This is an effective tool. I sawed pretty deep into my thumb before I realized that's what I had done, so I would say the blade is definitely sharp and is able to cut through a variety of materials. I wouldn't recommend this for sawing through thicker chunks of wood, though.

Easy to use and well made
I have limited mobility in my right shoulder. Sawing is difficult. I can use this saw for small jobs pretty easily. My seven year old granddaughter loves working with wood. She can use it easily with adult supervision so I gave one to her parents to use with her. It would not be safe for a small child without close supervisio. A vise or miter box to hold the wood is helpful for both of us. A handy little saw for your toolbox.
