Q: Anyone try this kit to repair side post battery terminals?

Kit worked great. I will buy another set if I need it

Q: What’s the installed thread length of the inserts? Specifically 5/16-18

Did not measure the insert length, but most inserts are approx 1/2" long in this size range. It only has to be as long as the diameter of the boat to be full strength. So if it is a 5/16 insert the insert needs to be at least 5/16 long. These are. But the tool is junk, I suggest buying a name brand US. Made tool.
