Well directly from there website... "All of our products are designed, engineered and lab tested here in the USA, however, due to the extremely high cost of manufacturing locally, we source raw materials and manufacture overseas in order to keep the cost of our products competitive in our global marketplace". I.E. just like everything else in the world it's made in China.

Q: Whats the difference between this and a recovery strap?

Straps usually have less elasticity, check the descriptions and sometimes they'll tell you they stretch 3% or 5% where as recovery ropes go 20%+/-

You could ask rhino usa directly and they could tell you what the working load limit is for these ropes. I can only say they are going to break at somewhete near the limit they say they will. However these ropes ate exyremely large and could probably pull out any stuck vehicle but that you should use a tow strap for everyday like consistent pulling as these ropes are more stretchie when used tham an actual tow strap. A tow strap is what you want to use for sustained loads like towing an unstuck vehicle from where it is to where yoy woyld like to go and place the truck or vehicle such as taking it to a garage or yoyr own home for later repairs.

Q: Would this strap be good to pull a small ornamental tree out of the ground that died a couple of years ago?

I’m far from an expert at yard work, but if I had to remove a small tree I wouldn’t hesitate to try it. It would be much easier on the vehicle than using a chain. It might void the warranty, however!
