The bottom base of the Djembe was slightly damaged on arrival which did not appear to be due to the shipping as the box was unmanaged in the area. This was disappointing but not enough damage to go through the bother of return and not getting a replacement by Christmas.

Pros: Cheap, Light, decent sound, solid woodcons: weird rope handle came undone, not great sound,This is a great entry point for those who want to test the water for playing. Decent enough sound that you won't be laughed out of a drum circle or acoustic jam, but when you hear the good ones, it will leave you wanting. it's a great travel drum due to its size and weight, and if it gets damaged you're not out several hundred bucks. Make sure you tune the drum when you get it. There are tons of YouTube videos on how to rope tune the drum.
