Bought for my other half. She loves it and curls up under it most nights. Our cats also like this and curl up next to her to enjoy the warmth. Be aware that there is one oddity. The blanket isn't so effective when it's brand new and it seems to need a few hours of use to reach full performance. I was actually disappointed when we first got it but it gradually improved over a couple of evenings and is now very warm - it's like something in it needs be "run in" like a car engine before it works 100% efficiently. It had a nice, smooth texture to the covering and the cables aren't very obvious in it, so it's very comfortable. Instructions are easy to follow, it's easy to use and the cables a very sensible length - long enough to always reach a socket but not long enough to be annoying.

As a long time owner of an electric blanket, I swear by them and have converted many owners who wouldn’t be with theirs now.This heated throw is ideal for my cosy loveseat and foot rest in my bay window, as I loose myself in a book or box set. I’ve been contemplating making the purchase, but made it after my devoted hot water bottle finally left me after I found a hole in it.The material of this throw is luxurious and so soft to touch. With the easily operating remote thermostatic control to hand.There are 6 heat settings and the option of 3 different timing settings to choose from (1/3/9 hours with a handy temperature table guide on the reverse of the remote control). I usually set it to the highest setting which is 6 and set the timer for 3 hours.Now at first I was deeply disappointed as when you first put the throw on and it fires up, it gets really quite nice and warm. After about 20 minutes it gets what I felt was Luke warm. I contemplated returning it but soon discovered that perhaps I was comparing apples and pears, by comparing it to my electric blanket on my bed which goes up to heating setting 9 which is really toasty hot.I’ve now been using it for the past few weeks now and have adjusted to it. I find that to lock in the heat a little bit more, I’ve taken to throwing a light blanket on top (I know I know, and totally agree that it kind of defeats the object!!!). But it works for me.ProsGood value for moneyNo need to keep topping up water bottlesCan be set up to 9 hours on a timer, if you want to use it to sleep over night.ConsIt could do with perhaps another higher temperature setting, at least 1 more.The lower temperature settings are slightly redundant as I only noticed any real heat at 5 & 6.Overall it’s a good but and well worth the money!!

I bought this as it came with a 2 year guarantee. I have had two previous blankets very similar, but they stopped working after just a couple of weeks & the suppliers did not take them back. I use mine to save putting the heating on in my cold house. It is great for sitting under watching TV. The only drawback is that you have to get out from under it sometimes!! It is not too thick & bulky, but still soft and cosy. Don't know if I am doing the switch on wrong, but I switch it on at the mains and the dial flashes, but then I have to switch it off on the controller and back on to get it to actually heat up. I can work with this, though. I have only had it on the maximum heat setting, so cannot comment on the cooler settings. Would definitely recommend so far!!

With fuel bills rising, I decided to order this to save having the fire on all night. It heats up quickly and is lovely and soft.It is large enough to snuggle under and keeps me toasty! I cannot vouch for any pain relief claims, although it certainly is relaxing to feel so warm!Be aware that you should not wrap this around you, but lay it over you as it is not advised to sit or lay on it.
