Q: Is the handle two short for every day use?

Its about half as long as a normal razor. I wouldn't recommend for every day use, but it's probably a personal decision.

Q: is the handle unscrewable?

Might be, but I haven't tried. There seems to be some sort of joint there, but I do not want to mar the handle with pliers to find out, nor do I want to potentially break it.

Q: How thick is the bottom of the handle? I want to make sure it fits my razor travel stand.

I use a razor stand myself and the end of the handle is think enough to hang from a razor stand. Bear in mind, it is definitely a short travel razor.
