SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER
Installed this pump on our Chaparral.Went on a family vacation and ended up stranded. Payed 100 bucks to get towed back. Should have bought OEM. Never again stay far away from this product. Also when it has to do with the motor or out drive stick with Oem!

Caution
This pump assembly certainly looks like Volvo Penta OEM, and we save a few bucks to purchase and install, but it is not Volvo Penta. I purchased this pump and it leaked terribly through the bearing holes thus cooling water was pouring into the bilge rather than the engine block . I suspect a seal was not installed at manufacturing to prevent water from escaping and allowing air to enter through those bearing holes thus diminishing cooling potential. You may purchase a properly assembled unit that will work fine. But like Clint Eastwood/Dirty Harry said, " Do you feel lucky" ?
