Much more than a simple survey anthology or basic undergrad primer, this single comprehensive volume contains all the current evidence and consensus based "must be up on" elements spanning the field of transpersonal psychology. Anyone in the field (or related) needs this cutting edge text. It is long and pretty dense in places, but still highly readable and well worth the money. Excellent!!

This handbook is impressive in its scope, comprehensiveness, and evenmindedly sympathetic and critical approach. It is the most comprehensive text in the field of Transpersonal Psychology and gives an excellent state of the art summary of the field.

A fascinating book with a wealth of material. This book provided me with knowledge that expands the breadth of my reading list by introducing me to an abundance of schools of thought. However, there were chapters I didn't care for, and a great deal of New Age influence that I was less than fond of in certain chapters as well. Still worth a read for any psychologist who wishes to take a more spirituality oriented approach.

I thought it would be a huge text book and it is pretty good but not the huge thick hard textbook I was expecting with small print... It's about as big as a bible or so and If I would of picked it up at a book store I probably would have passed but I am glad to have it so... I don't think it's worth more than 15 - 20 bucks or so... But if you really felt like you needed it like I felt like I needed it - what's a few more extra dollars... Also the print is really small.
