It's not bad and can do a good job depending on the type of hair. I use them to take off bulk when cutting hair, it gets pretty close and should work to get the look you're going for.

Try the blade that is for the Andis Pivot Pro. When I get trimmers like these usually if the T-Outliner blade doesn't work the Pivot Pro does.
