1) Loosen and extend top and bottom straps
2) Slip brace on until kneecap fits comfortabely in hole within patella buttress (opening) and hinges are placed on either side of the knee
3) Pass top and bottom horizontal straps through d-ring and secure back on itself
4) Your knee is now happy
