I'm embarrassed to say that I had a rat climb into my wheel well that leads to the air conditioner in my car, and it gave birth and they all died. My car sat for a few days, and when I went to drive it, there was the unmistakable odor of decomposition. I took the car to my dealer, and they explained this happens all the time! I live in Florida where fruit rats are abundant, and my car sits in my driveway. They cleaned out the remains and sanitized the area. My husband was sure I would need to sell the car because we would never be able to get rid of the smell (there was a slight smell of decomposition still present). I decided to try this product. Within a few days, the smell was completely gone! I can't say for sure if the product was the reason, or the sanitizing by the car dealer, or both together - but I was extremely happy with the outcome! I'm keeping my car!

I had purchased 10 storage boxes from the dollar store and they smelled awful from the plastic packaging. These charcoal bags are slowly removing the odor. It does take time for the odor to dissipate but it seems to be working. The charcoal bags are not scented. This is not a quick fix. I had to use all the pouches in my small laundry room. I would recommend for this type of odor.

I ordered 20 bags. The bag weights vary from 3.3 oz to 3.55 oz, but that includes the weight of the heavy bag; so you are not getting 3.5oz/100 grams of charcoal in a bag. You are receiving less charcoal than advertised. They work, but you CANNOT reactivate/recharge activated carbon in the sun. No way. Not scientifically possible. It takes extreme (900C) heat in a closed chamber to accomplish that. They only lasted about 9 months. in my situation. So don't think you'll get two years out of these. Again. they work. But your not getting the full amount advertised.

Storm runoff entered my basement during a recent gullywasher, making a dirty, stinking mess of my utility carpet. Thankfully, it had no liner, but it still took multiple shampoos -- one with vinegar water -- to make significant headway on the dirt, but not much on the scent. I used fans for a week, also set bowls of baking soda out in the room, but it was these little packets that finally eliminated the unpleasant odor. So they seem highly effective, and I was happy to find a pet-safe choice. They are also well made, and include a handy grommet in each, so you can hang them as well as set them about.

Purchased these to place into our campers refrigerator to help with the odors when it’s not being used. Works great. We’ve noticed the not so good smell being reduced!! Company was also great to work with. We had a small issue and they took care of it right away! Prompt customer service!

I had a rug arrive that had an extremely strong smell. It immediately stunk up my entire living room, I put two of these bags in the room, and in 24 hours the smell is nearly gone. Cannot recommend these enough.
