Q: How long do these take to assemble?

It would depend on the skill level of the person putting them together, It took me about 5 minutes each. they are very simple. after assembling glue needs to be dry, I let mine set over night.

Q: What size launch rod do these require?

We bought these at the same time as an Alpha 3 with all of the launching equipment and it used the same launch rod. These were the first my son made and we went to the Alpha 3 after he had some practice.
