Q: Is the office for life or just a 1 year thing and how does it come already downloaded?

It’s only for a year. You have to set up your year trail but it’s really easy. I wouldn’t recommend this laptop at all though, it is beyond slow

Q: Does it come with a code to install MS Office 365?

You register the PC with your Microsoft account and it get activated automatically by Microsoft for 1 year. It doesn’t come with a code separately
