Cold yes, heated flour tortillas can be kept warm for 20 minutes aided by a soft cloth napkin

Q: What kind of plastic is this made out of? is it bpa free?

It's more like a resin type material. It's dishwasher and microwave safe. I love mine!

Q: where is this product made

I'm not sure where it is made but it is very thin material. Could probably get the same or similar product an a dollar type store. However I purchased a larger one which was called Nordicware and it was heavier duty and made in the USA.
