Nice brightly coloured and useful knives. Shame about the block/holder which, in my opinion, is quite 'tacky' in appearance and therefore will NOT be used in this house/our home!

These really brighten up the kitchen and stay pretty sharp with the aid of a sharpener. Easy to see in the acrylic block and easy to grab the right one for the right job. Probably great for defending yourself from a burglar, too, though I haven't actually tried that. They give me confidence that I could defend myself from, say, a wild raccoon entering the kitchen.

An RRP of £30 puts these in the high bracket of cheap knife blocks. As usual you get five blades in the standard shapes. The handles are colour coded and soft-touch, matte not glossy. These knives have the look of a more expensive set, but are priced very competitively. I found they were good and sharp, have nice handles and cut well, but they feel too lightweight. This is the real giveaway that they are cheap - they’re just not weighty enough. I have been using them for a few months now and haven’t had to sharpen them. Really very good for the price.
