Mary Berry's Simple Comforts Hardcover – September 17, 2020

I have made many of these recipes so far for my family, and they have all been great. Mary really seemed to emphasize families in this cookbook, and these are the kinds of recipes that are interesting enough for me and my husband, but still familiar enough so that my 5 and 6 year old sons devour them. The recipes we have made are as follows: the salmon and fennel one pot wonder, smoky firecracker chicken drumsticks, roasting tin Thai salmon and vegetables, whole stuffed baked trout with caper butter (we used sea bass), Swedish meatballs with enriched apple and thyme sauce, and the chocolate steamed pudding with chocolate sauce. All were absolutely delicious and relatively no fuss with not too many strange ingredients. I look forward to trying the steamed cabbage and the lemon and blueberry mousse next. If you are looking for a cookbook to help feed your family with nutritious, no-fail recipes this is the one.

Bought it as a Christmas gift for my wife and she seems to really like it. It definitely made her happy.

I have watched Mary Berry on her PBS show, “Mary Berry’s Country Hose Secrets” and the “Great British Bake-off” and have always been impressed with her culinary knowledge and seasoned cooking skills. I got this cookbook for my wife for one particular recipe for a mushroom and onion tart, which I made for my wife for a surprise Mother’s Day dinner.

I had to get the book after trying a few of the recipes featured on Mary Berry's series on PBS. The recipes are quick to make and delicious. The salmon with fennel, shallots, and peas is my favorite so far. You can put it together quickly but it looks and taste great. Good enough to serve to guests. Looking forward to trying more recipes.

Mary Berry's recipes are beautiful when made, tasty and easy to make. There is nothing in the book that I do not like.

Loved this cookbook. Every recipe that I’ve tried has come out well.Just be aware that you need a pair of weighing scales to do this book justice. No ‘cups’ in the measurements.

This was a holiday gift. I have no knowledge of its appreciation. Based upon a TV show based upon in part on Mary Berry's Simple Comforts. I thought it would be really interesting.

Great recipes and made with good wholesome ingredients

Love Mary and this book has some great ideas. My creations didn't look much like Mary's but they came out well. The recipes are reasonably easy but sometimes it seems steps are missed or times and temps could be clearer. But overall so glad I purchased this book.

The spine on this book was torn but otherwise in good condition I paid very little for it and so I am very pleased with it I could not afford a full price book it arrived early too . I have tried two of the recipes , they were delicious but I don’t expect less from Mary.

What Mary on TV. She made all the recipes sound so easy so I bought the book. They look so good and very easy to do with lots of tips too.
