Q: can they be put in water. Was thinking the pool?

Yes. These are sealed in plastic and are water tight. They would be pretty in a pool at night.

Q: Would these be bright enough to put inside a jack-o-lantern? Would one stick do the trick, or would I need multiples to get a bright enough glow?

Hi,Yes you can put in a jack-o-lantern for glow. Recommend 2 sticks for a brighter glow, 1 stick will give a nice soft glow.

Q: Picture has red.. Description says pink.. I need red, so which is it?

I discovered that some are true red, some are pink and some are purple when you buy the assortment. I believe you can buy a box of all red though.
