Our history books gloss over the destruction , killing and conversions that the Islam invasion caused to Hindus. It is very important to know it, understand it and strengthen our beliefs so that nobody can force us away from those beliefs and we can protect our heritage. It is also important to catalog the destruction of temples and find a way to recover as many of them as possible. It has to be firmly understood that Islam specifically is against idols and idol worship and links Hinduism to that - although Hindu religion is not about idols - and hence destroys our places of worship.

A must-read book for anyone who is interested in the history of what Hindus had to go through at the hands of Islamic invaders for close to thousand years.An extremely well-researched book delving into details of which temples were destroyed and mosques etc built on top of them. A few years ago essentially same was being done by ISIS against other religious minorities.Primary sources are mostly works of Islamic historians, who penned down these destructions as conquests of Islam over the 'infidel Hindus"

Book explains everything in a very structured manner and gives insight of history from actual prospective, it states bare facts, so liberals please take edible acidity regulators before opening book if you really want to know the other side (actual one).

Worth reading for all Hindus who wants to know what happened to their respective temples under invaders.

This is one of the most detailed surveys of Hindu Temples. You will be astonished to know that even in so-called free India thousands of Hindu temples are still in custody of invaders, and converted to religious places of invading religions. This also highlights the importance of why the Religious Places Act of 1991 needs to be abolished.
