I have bought rolled collars for my springer spaniel in the past, though this is the first time I have purchased one from CollarDirect.I prefer this rolled collar type, because I don't like to cut my dog's coat back so that is is very short and rolled collars don't separate the coat as much as the flatter type do. Nor do leather collars irritate the dog's skin as much as the man-made nylon type can.I love the colour of this collar and it is the quality is very good. I have had issues with the end of the strap curling back on itself with other rolled collars I have used, but this is has a better design with a more effective additional leather retaining loop to help keep the end of the collar in place.Easy to recommend and I hope you find these comments helpful.

Nice collar , lovely colour. Perfect for our shihtzu as it's a slim design and has unobtrusive metal work that doesn't dig into his neck. Not sure about the longevity of the product but it seems good value for money.

It is a lovely collar, looks well sewn for the most part. The end part will definitely fray and bend apart which I'm not a fan of.But the orange colour is so nice! The material is very smooth.If you have a long haired dog with a double coat like a Pomeranian, a rolled leather collar is always going to be best! It doesn't knot all the hair like the nylon ones.I am pleased with it but the end part of the collar coming apart is a let down for sure.Teddy, 11.4kg Pomeranian absolutely loves it, he hasn't itched with it at all.

Had rolled leather collars before for my miniature pinscher x chihuahua. It certainly was a good idea.Both of them were very comfortable with them whereas the fabric type ones were constantly scratched to, turning it all the way round. Not once since I put it on "stitch" as he lifted his back foot to it. Strong as expected a leather collar to be. More comfortable than the flat types as rolled making it thinner but stronger. Lovely colour against his black fur making it easy to see him. I have popped a kitty bell on it so I can hear him as he blends in.. He is now coming upto 5 months old.I certainly will buy only these when he out grows out of it (if he does lol) price is better than that at p@h, better quality and more choice of colours maybe a red one next time.Very good fit as he has a 7.3inch neck, plenty of holes either side of the one I have put it on.

Ordered purple, it was blue. Had it on 2 days and the leather part that holds the collar end in neatly completely came off.Not durable, colour didn’t match feels horribly cheap on the metal too.

Rolled collar for every long haired dog, it doesn’t rub to cause matts round the neck. Superb!

Rather disappointed with the two L size collars I purchased. They are not as substantial as the photo would have you believe. On the plus side the leather is soft and supple with good neat stitching. However, I would have liked a more substantial metal clasp. The center pin is thin and not shaped at end to lay flat against the metal roller. The leather band which should hold the excess length past the buckle clasp is too large and soft so does not stay in place but slides down the collar leaving the excess leather flapping. I will make tighter retainer with some spare leather. Hence my 3 rating.

The collar is a nice, soft leather. I bought the tan 12-15" - and needed to make a new hole - but hat might just be my fault for not measuring my pup's neck correctly. That's OK tho - (it was easy enough to do) and there's plenty of grow room. Initially I found the leather fastening/fixing loop a little too loose, and it often moved, leaving the end of the collar sticking out and flapping about.I received communication from the customer service team as I mentioned this issue in my initial review - and they were very helpful. Having had the the collar for a while (and being worn in all weathers!) , the leather has naturally swelled and and it's 'weathering' has fixed the 'loose fixing' issue. Happy with my purchase and great customer service.
