Q: Would this Red Label line work well on big bass or should I look for a higher test or braided?

I have caught 3 and 4pounders with no problems and that was on 8lb test line. Just now whiched to 10lb line but have only caught one 2.5lb bass with it so far. I love the knot strength of the line. There are things on utube to help with tying this type of line onto itself or other types of line.
