A worthy fourth album
This one marks a changes of scene (to NYC), producer (Philippe Saisse, who also arranged all songs) and flavour (altogether drier and cooler than Madrid). The first four or five tracks are rather stiff and lack the flow that made Madrid so enjoyable but after that it does pick up and get into quite a nice stride.Supporting musicians include Mark Egan, Will Lee & Andre Magna (bass), Andy Snitzer (sax) Dave Valentin (flute), Michael Davis (trombone) and Jim Hynes (trumpet), whilst Mr A not only plays various acoustic guitars but also does the drum programming on several tracks (quite respectably too ~ the drums don't sound at all plastic or synthetic). Oh yes, Philippe Saisse plays keyboards, drums, percussion and does a bit of programming.Overall, this isn't bad at all and I like it a good deal more than I anticipated from the first two or three hearings. Recommended.

REFRESHING ORIGINALITY, GUITAR & GLOBAL RHYTHMS!
This Marc Antoine CD has everything you could ever want in music...and more! This is a superbly co- produced CD (Marc Antoine/Philippe Saisse) with a stellar line-up, including Lokua Kanza's high-spirited vocals on the song, "Elikya" (Hope). From the lively, rhythmic and tropical "Palm Strings", travel with Marc through paradise to "Celta", refreshingly Celtic. The song, "Valerio" is reflective, melodic, and the guitar flows beautifully throughout the song. "El Camino" picks up the tempo with a danceable rhythm that's guaranteed to move and sway you. "Children at Play" is delightful & sweet, like a cool summer breeze through a playground! Encore, Marc! This is beautiful! Thank-you! I love it!

First Marc Antoine CD
Having bought several Peter White cd's I thought I try a different artist in the same genre, I listened online, having discovered there are two Marc Antoines,(one being french, I think?) and purchased this excellent CD. Marc is an brilliant guitarist, and totally different in some ways from the other greats - Peter White, Chuck Loeb etc.
