Good product These scoops are sturdy

Kind of difficult to mess something like this up. And they didn't.

I bought this to be able to get scoops of ice out of my cooler and it is the perfect size. Sturdy as well!

these are good aluminum scoops but the handles are tiny, my hand will not hold the handle just my fingers

The scoop is perfect for my ice bin, I gave one to my neighbor and he loved it

not as durable as expected. Put these in the dishwasher before using them. All of the chrome discolored. Now they are dull grey and look stained. Not sure what happened but they don't look good enough to use for food. They are all metal and 'heavier' material than plastic.

As other reviews have noted, these are non-stainless, cast aluminum scoops. Meaning, if you wash them in the dishwasher and let them dry by heat they WILL oxidize and blacken and develop a nasty grey haze. That haze can be mostly washed/wiped off but the material will be left with a sandy type feel. This isn't any different from the low quality ice cream scoops of the old days that would do the same thing. I'm not particularly fond of the idea of ingesting aluminum oxidization in the things I might scoop with these scoops though so it's unlikely I will use them from ice or anything else that might get them wet again. Just be aware, if you're buying these for ice or anything else that's wet, spend a little more money and get true stainless steel and not cast aluminum scoops.
