Awesome light
There's a reason these lights are so popular. I have nothing but good things to say about the light itself. Ordering from Amazon was a little sketchy though. Even though I got mine sold/shipped by Amazon (not a third-party seller) it still came with a damaged switch that looked like it was pried on with pliers that tore up the plastic paddles. The light also appeared to be counterfeit. Wrong type of barcode, wrong logo printing on the side, wrong switch paddles, wrong battery compartment sticker, too dim, machined corners too sharp, etc etc. Thankfully, Amazon replaced the defective item and now the replacement I received is a genuine SureFire. The packaging on the first one was genuine so it must have been a previously returned item. A little disappointed that I had to go through that, but at least Amazon made it right in the end! It's 100% dependable gear that will work when you need it, just make sure you carefully inspect your light when you receive it to make sure it's genuine!

Perfect carry light
Was running a TLR1 1k for a long while and just swapped over to the X300U and definitely prefer this over the TLR1. Ended up moving over to a X300T instead, since it suited my preferences better

Excellent weapon light
Great product by a great company. Very bright, solid frame, controls work well. Only problem I had was the battery cover plastic hinges broke. Sure fire sent me a replacement very quickly which was amazing. But the plastic hinges are a bit fragile, so be careful replacing. I would highly recommend.

Super happy with my purchase
Coming from a $50 tactical light I once owned for a different firearm about 10 years ago, this is a huge upgrade. Many people recommended the TLR, but for some reason, I think this one just looked better on my Glock 19 and the fact you’re able to simply snap it on vs screwing it on, was probably my biggest selling point. However, you have to be sure you’re buying the snapping/clipping Surefire X300 because they make both and I accidentally purchased the screwing one the first time. Needless to say, I’m not a fan. The TLR is half the price but for some reason, I don’t like the design. So for me, I dislike the screwing part and the aesthetic’s of the TLR. However, I do like the strobing feature, something the Surefire doesn’t have.

Not a fake. Built like a tank.
Luckily I received a real X300UA. The label was on the bottom of the package. The battery compartment had the correct surefire engraving. The battery release button was not protruding.Slashers were on the battery door. 100% realThis light Is a tank and am happy to own another one.I used this light in Afghanistan on my M4 and it was "OK" as a rifle light but is definitely more suited for use on a pistol. The light I used overseas took a 7.62 round right through the bezel but didnt hit the bulb so i actually still used it for another few weeks until it just stopped coming on. Like I said built like a tank!

BUYER BEWARE!
I purchased what I was lead to believe, was a 1,000 Lumen Surefire X300U pistol light. It was to be an upgrade for the 500 Lumen X300U, that I already have. When opening the packaging, I found it easy to open, not sealed at all, like normal packaging from Surefire. Upon pulling the light out, I also found that the two 123A batteries were missing. While disappointed, I was okay, as I have plenty of spares.I inserted two new batteries, and tested the new 1,000 Lumen X300U, with dismal results.I pulled the old X300U off my pistol and tested them side-by-side. Sure enough, my old light was brighter, and with a better beam. So, I switched batteries between the lights and tested again, same disappointing results.I then grabbed my 1,000 Lumen Surefire P3X Fury, and tested it side-by-side with the new X300U. As you can see from the images, this new X300U ia NOT 1,000 Lumens as advertised. Before posting this review, I had already called Amazon Customer Service, and got a return shipping label.I have learned my lesson. If I am going to get gear that my life, or those I care about depend on, I will get on my feet and go to the gun shop, or go straight to the manufacturer and get my equipment. The 1-Star rating is ONLY because Amazon required me to rate the item.Thank you for wasting my time.Thank you to Amazon Customer Service for handling this situation so quickly and respectfully.

Typical SureFire success
Perfect light temp, perfect manipulation and the mounting system this one utilizes is just so good. Bombproof and reliable. A good chunk of change but you get what you pay for.

Authentic Surefire X300U
I was really nervous based on reviews of fake Surefire X300U. I did my research on what to look for. Box is textured and has model sticker on the bottom. Comes with Loctite, adapters with screws and product flyer. Battery board has Surefire logo etched on it. Batteries are authentic Surefire 123A 3V. Battery latch is flush. Light feels solid and illumination is as advertised.
