Mid 2012 11" Air with micro center Auria works
Just a quick message for those who care!I'm using this cable with a mid 2012 MacBook Air 11 inch and the micro center Auria 27 inch monitor and I could get full native 2550x1440 resolution with audio, while the laptop is in clamshell mode.At first I got the other cable like this one here on amazon for half the price and couldn't get it to work at the monitor's native resolution. It display some blue stripe vertically on the left side of the monitor. So I returned it back. A month later I decided to give it ago again by buying from this seller instead. The item is just like the picture but with better packaging for twice the price, but I feel it is just the same item since it look exactly like the last item I returned. To carry on, I did encounter with the blue stipe problem again!!! I continue to play around with the settings like enabling mirror mode and changing various resolution for a few minutes just like I did with the previous one. Yeah, it doesn't just work right away, and I was fully aware of that since the first one, but this one just sets itself up a bit faster. Perhaps it has something to do with the length, the last one was at least three meters, this one is just one meter.I think this one is the same one as I bought last time, just anothe cheap Chinese junk, so the quality could be a hit or miss, and I hit a good one this time. Though its cheap, but it works well and the picture is perfect, monitor wakes up from sleep just fine, no problem, the connector feels solid and it has a stress relieve collar where the wire exit the connector. The cable is not so soft if that matters to some of you. It was ship in a sealed bubble packaging, not a ziplock bag like the first one. In a sense, it was much better presented. You can call it "quality built" if you were to hold it in your hands, but Like I said, these are cheap stuff, they are hit and miss, but they get the job done if you get a working one. Buy this one or buy the lesser price one if you like since they are the same thing, but do yourself a favor and buy two or three just I case you end up with a few bad ones, then return them if you don't use them all or they're bad.I will edit this down the road if any problem arises.

This cable works as intended, when using DIsplay Port set to 1.1, NOT 1.2
Update: I've decided to keep this cable after all. I ordered a second cable and it arrived just today. I was surprised to see that the second cable exhibited the same flickering issue as the first. It was then that I suspected that it's an environmental issue. On my external monitor, there's a setting that allows me to change from Display port 1.1 -> 1.2. I had it on '1.2'. I switched it to '1.1' to see if that would clear up the flickering problem. It did!I switched back to using this Accell cable, since it looks to be of better build quality than the second one I ordered. Now that I can compare two dp cables, the connectors seem more sturdy on this cable. I hope they will hold up after some usage.----------------------------------------------I'm certain this cable will work for some. The build quality seems fine, with a sufficiently pliable jacket (I purchased the 6ft length). I tried to connect my laptop to a Samsung 1440p monitor (https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-WQHD-LED-Monitor-S32D850T/dp/B00L3KNOF4) at full 1440p resolution (2560x1440) and it failed. The screen on the external monitor started flickering and eventually turned off.I've read that others have had similar issues with dp cables- lots of mention of buying compliant and active 19 pin vesa compliant cables. Well, this one was one of those! It did not work for me. I plan to return this cable.By the way, the system drivers for my device are fully updated (just did it last week). It works fine with the heavy duty cable that came supplied when I purchased the external monitor, actually. That cable is so heavy duty that I wanted to get one that is more flexible since I'm using a laptop and felt it was cumbersome to use on my lap.

Screen stopped flickering! YAY!
I have an Asus ROG PG278Q, 1440P 144Hz screen, and apparently the cable I was using was not able to work with the newer card (although it worked fine with an old 770GTX) Switched to a 1070 GTX last week and had issues with the screen flickering which I eventually tracked down to a detection issue; Nvidia Control panel refused to see the correct model of this screen (second different model was fine), and the G-Sync kept enabling and disabling itself, causing the screen to flash. Along with this, the refresh rate kept lowering to 85Hz.Quick Google search confirmed and told me to replace cable, reviews led me to this cable. I got my screen second hand so I was given a random displayport cable, which has worked perfectly fine for the past 2 years, until now. Swtiched to this cable, works perfectly fine. Don't buy a cheap cable. Spend the extra $8-10 compared to the other cables out there and get one that is certified. There is a difference, which is the first time I've been able to say that confidently. I've been a computer tech for a bit over 3 years, and have never encountered this issue before (granted the high majority of people still rock 1080P).Cable also supports 4k @ 60Hz, with a lifetime replacement warranty. It is much thicker then my previous cable, and doesn't flex nearly as much. However, you know by the feel that you got a durable cable that will last you quite a long time. Would highly recommend for anyone running above 1080P, regardless of your refresh rate.

Finally a product that does what it advertises
I recently bought a super ultrawide Samsung monitor. Tried to get its full resolution at its max refresh rate, but failed every time. The screen would repeatedly turn off and on until I dropped the refresh rate to 60 hz. First I thought the screen was faulty. Then thought my good ol’ GTX 1070 laptop wasn’t capable of delivering the image data. Finally found out that the culprit was the “non”-certified mini-dp to dp cable that I recently bought for $15 less than this one. It had advertised that it could deliver 4K @ 144hz, but in reality it didn’t (or at least didn’t do it consistently.)I finally bought this cable and all the problems went away. To anyone who has bought a high resolution, high refresh rate TV or monitor, I recommend that you save yourself the hassle and get a certified cable, as the cheaper non-certified ones are nothing but trouble.Still don’t know whether it’s gonna last for a good amount of time, as others have mentioned cable failure within a month. But I’ll update when or if it happens or not.

Actually works
I thought moody cables were a thing of the analog past. Turns out DisplayPort cables are the moodiest of them all. Accell cables were repeatedly mentioned as a recommended brand in a forum thread on the subject, and although the price is completely and utterly mindboggingly astronomical, I have to say that it is nice to get a picture on the monitor when the computer is turned on without having to go through a whole song and dance. Almost worth it - 4 stars.
