Works great with my BMV-712 Display
I was initially hesitant to buy this case for my BMV-712 display given some of the negative reviews I read, but decided to give it a try anyway. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the display fit perfectly with no cord sticking out. As can be seen, I should have no problem installing it flush on a wall, Also, looking at some previously posted images, I noticed that the BMV-712 used to come with a different type of cable.

5 Stars - with an important note!
This box is intended to allow you to surface mount the Digital Multi Control Panel that allows the control of Victron's "Multiplus" Inverter/Chargers. It works great for that.HOWEVER: Victron makes two products that appear identical (but aren't) with very similar looks and product names. For this box to work, it is IMPERATIVE that you order the control panel with a Victron model number of DMC000200010R. At the time of this writing, it is the cheaper of the two similar-looking models. The control panel model that is compatible with this box has the RJ45 connector on the back of the panel at a right angle (the cable plugs in parallel to the circuit board) and comes with the required metal frame. The other, more expensive panel model has the RJ45 connector plugging in straight out the back of the circuit board...making it far too deep to fit into the box. I initially bought the wrong model and had to return it for that reason.

Doesn't work with bluetooth dongle
Technically I suppose this is compatible with the bmv-700 as the product description states. What they don't say is that it's NOT compatible with the bmv-700 IF you're using the bluetooth dongle. I made it work for my application but if you're wanting to truly flush mount AND have bt capabilities this will not work for you. It's well constructed but I was extremely disappointed that the product description isn't more forthcoming.

It works a advertised
I used this to mount my BMV-712 in one of the storage compartments of my trailer. It came with everything I needed for this install, but I used command strips to mount the box to the wall as I may move it in the future and I would rather not leave screw holes in the wall.

Not ready for primetime!
The unit is made well but there is an engineering issue with the unit that is hard to believe. A standard Victron VE.Direct cable when connected to the back of the BMV sticks out too far so you cannot mount this flat on a wall! I have not seen a VE.Direct cable that has a L shaped connector so it can fit inside the box and allow a flush wall mount. I really don't want to drill a large hole in the wall, that's why I bought this box in the first place. Very Sad!

Had to modify to make it work
On the new Digital Multi Control from Victron, the RJ45 connector faces directly back from the control board - it does not 90 like the old ones. As such, this enclosure does not have enough depth to bend the cable inside the enclosure. I had to drill a 1.5" inch in the back and bend the cable in and out. I made it work for my situation, but if I had to be mounted flush against a wall, it would not have worked.

Nice cover for Victron BMV Shunt
Not sure if I'm going to use this yet, but purchased this as a nice flush mount for my Victron BMV 700. Seems very well made.

Wow, das ist keine Victron Qualität.
Das Gehäuse an sich ist gut verarbeitet, die Panele passen gut rein und halten. Allerdings ist das eine echte Fehlkonstrunktion die man so von dem Hersteller nicht gewöhnt ist.1. Die Schrauben die das Gehäuse zusammenhalten sollen sind viel zu kurz. Der Deckel wird nicht fest.2. Man benötigt, und das stellt man erst bei der Montage fest, ein VE.Direct Kabel mit mindestens einem abgewinkelten Stecker. Andernfalls guckt das Kabel ca. einen halben cm hinten raus und man kann das Teil nicht mehr an die Wand schrauben.Sehr schade. Die Schrauben könnte ich noch verschmerzen, das mit dem Kabel ist sehr ärgerlich. Das Teil geht zurück.

Produkt nicht durchdacht
Der Hersteller hat wohl übersehen, dass man für den BMV 700 noch zusätzlich einen optionalen Blutoothempfänger einsetzen kann. Aber das Gehäuse ist nicht tief genug, so dass der Stecker locker 1 cm hinten raussteht.Ich habe das dann mit einer Holzkonstruktion hinter der Dose gelöst. Ist aber alles andere als schick.
