A new approach to holistic health with some ancient wisdom.
This book is a summary of more than 40 years of experience helping people improve their physical and mental health, with some relationship tips. I highly recommend it. My favorite part is the practical tips on communication, because if you want to adopt all of these practices, chances are you will have some explaining to do to people around you. This might seem uncomfortable, but considering the great health results they have seen with them, it will be worth it. Something tells me even if you just improve on one of the four methodologies, it will be worth the price of the book. Improve on all four methodologies and it might change your life. They even offer online support groups and the book explains the Ornish program is even covered by some insurance companies, which doesn’t leave many excuses to not try it.

Heal yourself
Very clear and concise information. They give you a clear road map of what to eat. They have recipes and grocery lists of everything imaginable that you need to follow this protocol.Including prepackaged foods that you only need to buy to enjoy. I like the packaged and frozen foods lists because I can get started very easily without having to worry about ingredients and recipes. I'm going to give this a try. Thanks, Dean and Amy.

There's the Science and the Rest of the Book
Un-Do It! contains some amazing insights and revelations on diet and health that Dr. Ornish has been involved with, or, has been completed by peers that should be known by the world. This includes cardiovascular disease, cancers, metabolic syndrome, etc.That is the first 80 - 90 pages. Then, there's the section on exercise -- very little science in this portion of the book in comparison and key points such as the affects of resistance exercise on GH and how one should fast or train on an empty stomach could be brought out. IMHO, if you're going to train then try to get the best out of your exercise just like your diet.Then, some things about meditation, stress, etc. Important, yes...science has proven stress and lack of sleep does raise cortisol levels and has a negative impact on our health. Good information, but I learned more about the science and biology of each of these during a podcast from Dr. Kim Williams, MD/Cardiologist, than the book which I felt Anne Ornish wrote. IMHO, let the people with the science background making the recommendations write this information.Finally, over 200 pages of food and beverage information -- recipes, stocking your kitchen, etc. Each recipe takes at least two pages and wondering if they could have saved space and condensed things a bit and again focused on the science earlier in the book.The first part of the book, as noted, is excellent and I have parts highlighted and/or marked for reference. IMHO, this book or Dr. Joel Fuhrman's contain some of the most cutting edge information on diet, health and longevity around. (And Fuhrman packs up to two recipes per page...)

Great Book
I liked all the info it gives and Dr. Ornish gives lots of information and gives fury how to eat healthy to help manage diseases and I’m happy with my purchase - I like the recipes included very useful and tasty!

Keeping you alive
For people who have heart disease, or think they will, or just want to live a very long life,this book is a lifesaver.

Essentially a rehash of an earlier book but the recipes look interesting.
There is little that is truly new in this if you have read as early at work, but some of the recipes are interesting.

Vegan Guidebook
Clearly explains how to eat a plant based vegan diet to prevent diseases and offers info on yoga and various exercises and stress reduction methods.
