Not made for 2012 mustang key fob but will fit. it is not thin and is very durable it doesn’t slide off the fob or anything considering the extra space for wrong fob type.

Ford Escape Hybrid 2011
I bought this because my used Escape key fob had the paint worn off. I wanted white to match my keychain. The Amazon search said it wouldn't fit my car but it sure does. I've had it for a month now and thought it would get dirty but I haven't had to wipe it down. I love how I can see the keys in the middle of the night now, so there no fumbling around for unlock and lock button now.
