Fairies 2 Grayscale Coloring Book

The images provided with the listing do show what is included, however they fail to reflect just how good the images actually are. I purchased another of this artist's books first and found that to also be the case so even though I doubted that I would like all the images I thought I would try a second book. To my delight it too provided images that were better than depicted. I did purchase a third book by download on Espy which included a few bonus images but in this case I prefer the books as you have the option of making a copy and editing it with the print options on your printer.Typically I make copies of my books on to a better quality stock of paper and also so that I can practice with different colors, etc. (this is fine as long as you don't sell or otherwise distribute and use only for your personal use, otherwise you are violating the copyright protection.....i.e. stealing an artist's intellectual property without payment!)If you do end up downloading a coloring book there is an app which will change the pdf files to jpeg files which can be edited just as you do with photos. As greyscale can be tricky, too dark or too light can be ruinous, I have found that being able to edit the image before printing makes a huge difference in obtaining an image that is "just right".The images are themed and titled accordingly. So the "ivy fairy" has ivy surrounding the fairy for instance. If you enjoy coloring portraits you will enjoy this book. I especially appreciate that there are men as well as women to color. There are also in some books older individuals which I love to color. (Wrinkles give character!)If you are unsure whether you would like this, you may want to go to Espy and purchase a single image for a few dollars to check it out before committing to the purchase of the entire bookI do find that the paper used in the book is a bit slick, thin and lacks texture but as I routinely copy onto my favorite stock of paper this was not an issue from my point of view.

This is the second coloring book from Christine Karron which features greyscale fairies, and if you loved the first one, you are going to be blown away by this one!! The pictures are printed on one side, and although the pages are not perforated, a quick slice with a craft knife will remove them easily if this is what you do. If you color in the book, place a few sheets of paper or cardstock behind the page you are coloring to protect the image underneath. The paper isn't of poor quality, but it is not as thick as I have come across in some other coloring books, and if you are going to use markers, this will cause bleed through, ruining the image beneath it. The artwork is phenomenal. The artist is clearly a professional, and the images are so carefully drawn, with real heart and soul. The actual printing is very clear, high quality and has a slight sheen to it. The sheen doesn't affect the ability to color successfully, however. The picure styles are similar to Christine's first book. There are an abundance of fairy portraits, a few full body pictures, then towards the end of the book, Christine has added one or two pictures that veer off from the fairy subject, before ending with one final, very touching, angel picture. This coloring book is one of the best books I own, and it is most definitely worth every penny I spent on it. I will be keeping an eye out and hoping that this artist releases a new book in the near future!

Love everything about this artist's books. I love her art and have all of her books. Grayscale coloring is my favorite, but so many books don't get it right (i.e., poor quality paper, blurred edges on art, etc.), but both the art and paper/print are super high quality, yielding exquisite outcomes. I use primarily Prismacolor Pencils but also blend in colors from Crayola Pencils. Please keep making art and grayscale coloring books, Ms. Karon! I also use tiny bits of Vaseline and my finger to aid in blending.

I have multiple copies of all Christine Karron's coloring books, both line art and grayscale. They are some of my favorites to color and I turn to them time and again. It is great fun to see how many different looks I can create from the same picture just by changing colors, mediums etc. The paper quality is wonderful and I can lay down many layers of colored pencil to get just the look I want, I can also use my gel pens and fine liners on the paper as they are one sided drawings - and I either take them out of the book or lay a piece of card stock underneath to protect the other drawings. I highly recommend these books to anyone who enjoys coloring, unlike many books, these are outstanding quality and well worth every penny spent. I cannot wait for her to produce more of them so I can add to my collection.

I just can't say enough about Christine Karron's books! I'm like a (62yo) kid on Christmas morning when her books are delivered. TRY her books if you never have...I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed!

At first I didn't like this book because as one reviewer mentioned, the paper is somewhat glossy. As I colored more pages I discovered it didn't bother me as much. I have downloaded and printed books from her Etsy shop and like that much better as I can control the paper quality. The one thing I truly don't like about the book is how dark some areas are, making it much harder to create your own look/shading.

The Christine Karron art work in Fairies 2 is gorgeous. The paper not so much, its thin, like copy paper, not fun to pencil on. Suggest buying her art from her E.. shop and printing on your better paper.

Le illustrazioni di quest'artista sono meravigliose. La carta è sottile ma mettendo un foglio dietro i pennarelli copic scorrono e si miscelano e sfumano una meraviglia, anche le matite vanno ok. Un po' alto il prezzo vista la qualità di stampa ma l'artista lo merita.

Pictures are beautiful just like all the other books by this artist I highly recommend and will probably buy this book again as I’ve done with fairies 3, fairy & fantasy 1, 2 & 3& characters

Schöne Bilder von Christine Karron, sehr viel günstiger als einzeln bei etsy.Papier könnte besser sein, deshalb kopier ich sie raus auf besseres Papier

Le livre est arrivé dans les temps, magnifique dessins , tous plus beaux les uns comme les autres. Papier convenable. Je recommande cet article pour qui aime les portraits. Un seul point , les ombres sont parfois trop sombre.
