DW Drum Workshop Complete Deadhead Pad Set

Initially I had the same problem several other reviewers were having with the bass drum pad clamps not holding the pad in place while playing. I solved this problem by wrapping Stretch & Seal silicone sealing tape around the metal portion of the clamps that attach to the bass hoop before attaching the clamps to the hoop. Problem solved! The clamps have not loosened or fallen off since then, even with near daily practice. The drum pads scratch the drum heads if they don't fit to the rim, but I'm sure this could be avoided by adding some felt to the bottom of the pads. Otherwise, very pleased with this set.

First bad point, the kit did not come with all the parts described in the product description. It was missing the second 14" pad, so I am returning it.Second bad point, the clamps for the bass drum pad are garbage. Unless you get it seated just right, it will come right off in only a few minutes of playing. I bought some 1" spring clamps from my local hardware store, and they don't hold the pad as firmly as the ones in the kit do, but at least they don't come off when I'm playing! Also, the black paint on the pad's backboard will rub off on a wooden bass drum hoop, particularly when the whole thing flies off while you are playing because the clamps are so bad.Third bad point, the rubber cymbal pads for the crashes make a displeasing tone when you hit them. The foam pads for the high hat and ride are great, particularly the high hat set. The foam pad for the top hat is very light so your high hats will open just like normal. But you will regret hitting your crashes, that's a sound that can't be unheard.However, the sound reduction is really really good, and you can still hear the drum note and even some light snare so it's just what you want. The whole thing installs very quickly and they don't look bad either. That's why I'm so disappointed. This kit could be really great if the engineering of the clamps and the quality control of the kit contents had been merely competent.

Base piece falls off in seconds, no way to make it stay on yet. Still trying to engineer it.

i have owned MANY practice pads sets for my drum set trying to practice quietly and these are the best, VERY quiet due to the wood the pads on own it make it very quite for a drum set and they actually have a close response to how real drums feel unlike most practice pads for drum sets do. DW has done it again! buy these you will not regret it!

Best Christmas present ever he said, now can I have a double bass peddle and more cymbles :( They are never satisfied! I told him his B-Day is coming soon!

The set is perfect, however te cover to be placed on the big drum (bombo) can not hold with the pins that it brings, after playinf for 3 minutes, they fall of.

El paquete está bueno pero si usas un set estandar tendrás que comprar otro deadhead de 14 para que los toms y tarola tengan el tamaño adecuado, no existe uno de 16 así que te recomiendo que lo fijes.El único problema es que el pad para bombo no sirve de mucho, las herramientas de anclaje no funcionan o Si tienes un aro de madera lo terminas dañando, yo lo fije con cinta de doble cara pero el problema es que el bombo no pierde más que un 10% de su volumen, es decepcionante comparado al resto que hacen un gran trabajo, dicho esto tuve que insonorizar el bombo con almohadas y una sordina adicional en el parche.
