We tried these heaters a few years ago after we started having ducks lay eggs in January during freezing weather plus our ducks would molt too early due to excessive light from other heat lamps, plus we had a couple bulbs explode when ducks splashed water on the hot bulb. With these ceramic heat lamps, they can get a little water splashed on them and they still work just fine. Because they are made for reptile environments which are often wet, they are perfect for the ducks. The surface does get very hot, so you need to make sure they can't touch the surface. This is our 3rd purchase from Lucky Farm. Great value for the product you get and we've had no issues with any of the bulbs we've purchased from them.

For the price I'd be good I'd one had already burned out using it daily, but I'm still on the 1st bulb with daily use. The temperature regulation is very consistent! Very Pleased and so is our Red Eared Slider!

Ordered Wednesday to have on Thursday because my snake needed a better bulb because the one it came with when I rescued it wasn’t strong enough. Bulb wasn’t as described. Can’t find the wattage anywhere on it. Came LATE! Main reason I got it was because of the next day delivery. I have no choice but to use the bulb until I can get a new one. This was a last ditch effort to keep my rescue warm. Wasn’t black and infrared either. Everything about this product was false advertising. 0/10. Avoid at all costs.

One of the bulbs blew the same day I put it in. But the other one is still doing well and it kicks off heat really well!

Fast shipping great product. I had baby chicks hatching and getting to hot to run a 250w red heat bulb so went with 150w ceramic bulb and it works great. I’m using outside brooders 6’x3’x3’ in central Okla
