My 8 year old loves this set!
My 8 year old actually downloaded the LEGO movie making app before he got this set. He was making movies like crazy and actually started to get pretty good. The app is simple to use and very fun, but if you want to do very much editing, you’ll be disappointed. It was perfect for my 8 year old though, because it was simple. This set added lots of fun and hours to the movie making experience. And of course, the LEGO movie theme was a hit. My recommendation is to get the app first and see if you like the movie making process. As long as you like the movie making process, definitely get this set because it enhances the experience! Good times!

My 8 year old loves this Lego Movie 2 moviemaker set!
This is a kit based on Lego Movie 2. Son has worked on kit 2 mornings for about an hour each day and it is still not completely together yet. He loves it! He is showing me all the cool components like clear Legos that will be invisible on video. Of course he is distracted by other new toys and a new iPad since it after Christmas but he has it mostly together and looks forward to making movies soon. We bought a long flat tub to store it in also.

Great product, but box damaged.
Great set. My only complaint is that the box was damaged. Shipping box was not damaged, so did not happen in transit. Nothing inside was damaged, but it was a gift for my son, so it looked a little messy wrapped because of the damage to the box.

AMAZING!
Got this for my nephew and he absolutely LOVED it. SO much creativity to be had with this! It was very easy for a 7 year old to figure out and create "his own movies!" Would absolutely recommend to kids of almost any age!

Lego mania
This set of Lego movie legos is wonderful. My grandson loves it. The quality wonderful as always. The set is appealing to boys and girls. It included Emmet and Lucy as well as a building. The value is great for a good size box of legos.

Required app no longer supported
This looks like such a great item. I ordered it for my 8 year old grandson and he was so pleased! But….. a week after his birthday his mother just discovered that the app for making the videos is no longer supported by Lego!! Why is this not stated somewhere and why is it still being sold?! So very disappointed.
