Works great! I bought this for my husband and he loves it. It is easy to use and clean. Seems to be good quality and well made. We are enjoying homemade fries in our air fryer.

I bought this as a gift for my husband since we make fries about once a week, and he usually cuts them all by hand. He was skeptical at first, but this fry cutter has more than earned its place in our kitchen! It turns a mountain of potatoes into perfect fries in just minutes — so much faster and easier than slicing by hand. We got the 1/2" blade and it's been perfect for our needs — we haven’t felt the need to try any other sizes. It’s surprisingly easy to use; the suction base holds really well, and even our kids love taking turns pressing the handle down. It’s handled every type of potato we've thrown at it: yellow, gold, red, russet, even sweet potatoes — all without issue. The fries come out evenly cut and crisp up beautifully in the oven or fryer because they're all the same size. There was one small hiccup early on — a bolt came loose — but we tightened it and haven’t had a problem since. Cleaning isn’t bad either; I use a long-bristled brush to get into the little crevices and it takes just a couple minutes. Overall, great quality, super functional, and definitely a tool we’ll keep using. Worth every penny!

Absolutely dandy! We bought it with the 3/8” plates and the 1/2” plates. Easy to assemble. I had trouble pushing the handle down on a large russet potato, but hubby cut the potato in half lengthwise and it was easy to cut. He ended up making a cookie sheet worth of oven fries. He was a happy camper. Easy to clean. Good price. Quality kitchen tool. Highly recommend.

This potato slicer cuts through potatoes so easily and the blade size makes for perfectly sized French fries. It feels sturdy and well made. My only ding on it is that you have to completely take it apart to clean, keep track of all the little screws, and then reassemble it, so don't throw away the instructions!

My husband and I bought this French fry cutter specifically for an air fryer we purchased from Amazon. We quickly learned that sweet potato fries are a favorite item, as well as French fries in the air fryer. The ease of use with this cutter is amazing. We use it almost daily. It is sturdy and ease to clean. I am gifting these to family because they are so good to have in the kitchen.

Package was in excellent condition; inspected all items in perfect condition; struggled the first chopping pass on the shoestring unit, but was a breeze - had to pretend to be in an arm wrestling position with the handle which was easier - LOL - thereafter, it worked effortlessly; so far, no complaints. Aside, when positioning the side walls after cleaning, you need to push them up while tightening the cutter, otherwise, it will slip out of the unit and the slider won’t pass / don’t force the slider to pass, just lift it up the side panels positioning it at the top groove. I love this size of the shoestring! Now, I can make my own homemade organic potato fries!

It makes perfectly cut fries

So the replacement suction cup arrived the day I posted a review. I haven't tried to use the cutter yet, but I have to credit Sopito for following through. I make a fritata ( kind of a thick omelet ) every day for breakfast, with diced potatoes as the main ingredient and the texture of the potato is critical. I used to buy "southern hash brown potatoes" until the suppliers all changed to french fry cut offs...all reconstituted potaoes...mush when they heat up from frozen. The Sopito French fry cutter is the best tool I have found to slice then dice potatoes. The leverage of the bar is too short ( I have to pound on the bar ) and the suction cup is too shallow ( the replacement seems better ) but it is the best tool I have found. Thank you Sopito for your product! The seller said they would send a replacement suction cup. They haven't. I want to like this cutter, but it slides all over the counter and the seller doesn't seem to care. Don't buy from Sopito!

Very please to have Sopito French Fry Cutter and also, cut up the vegetable - carrot, celery, and potato. I would highly recommend this better french fry cutter and easy to press just like arm-wrestle!!! Already, bought another optional 3/8 inch of french fry cutter. It's better than other pull-down cutter which can be very flimsy and move around - cheap products. My wife is very happy to have it. Simply!!!!

Highly recommend, very sturdy and easy to use.

Está muy práctico porque se le quita el mango y se guarda fácilmente sin que ocupe mucho espacio. La cuchilla se tarda un poco en intercambiar entre la de 10 mm y la de 7 mm, pero vale la pena porque da mucha seguridad a la hora de cortar. La limpieza es un poquito complicada porque está grande el equipo y hay que tener cuidado con la cuchilla. Pero vale la pena porque las papas salen todas de la misma proporción y entonces el cocimiento es parejo. Me pareció un muy buen equipo.
