Great Overall Product that was put together here!
I got these in the mail today and I haven been listening to them ever since I got them! I must say that these are the best headphones I have come across within the past year! Now the 4 celebrity branded headphones that most people about are Jay-Z(Aviators), Ludacris(Soul), Dr.Dre(Beats), and 50 Cent(SMS). These headphones blow the 3 that are in the market now out of the water! I have listen to all of them and I feel that Jay-Z was rushed. The Soul were a good product overall but not great. Beats should be self-explanatory. They are flimsy and able to break easy and the bass is good on Beats but overpowering and doesnt sound good across the board in genres of music outside of hip-hop and dubstep. Now when unboxing the Streets, the people over at SMS did a good job a packing these headphones! A big box that is sealed shut so when its shipped there wont be any damage to the headphones. The headphones are tightly secured for protection. When taking them out at first glance the design was amazing. There are some people that complain about how its bulky around the earcups which I don't find a problem if you want a quality set of headphones. I did test out the durability when twisting them and 50 was true to his word. These headphones are built like a tank and it will be pretty difficult to break these. Now what everyone has been waiting for which is the sound quality. Te Streets sound great across the board I must say. From Rap to R&B, Dubstep/Electronical, and Rock. The bass is not over-powering at all the mids and highs are fantastic for headphones! These are not some headphones that were just put out there because they knew they were going to make some money off 50 Cents name. I really believe that 50 wanted to put out something that was perfect and I believe he did. That's these damn headphones were delayed so many times. But overall they are worth 250 bucks and anyone that buys them wont be disappointed. I would recommend these headphones to virtually anyone. I guarantee that anyone who purchase these headphones will be satisfy with the purchase and definitely worth it!

A bit of a mixed bag
This is an update after approximately a month with these phones:My first review was submitted after an extensive (I thought) burn in using a continuous loop of both white and pink noise. After that I felt and stated in the review that they were a confusing set of phones. Right now i think I can upgrade that initial review....they are sounding better and close to 'really good' right now. My music ranges from classic rock to blues to old ballads and they handle all of it in a balanced manner. Still a little on the 'heavy' side but nothing like the boomers from Dr. Dre and Soul. Not a hip hop fan so I want to hear all of the music but also like a set of phones that can handle big bass licks and percussion. Listening to some Stevie Ray Vaughan as write this and the sound is sweet. Seems that Mr. Jackson might actually have something here! Selling for about $100 right now and at that price it's a lot of phone.I hesitated in writing this review for several reasons.....my hearing is pretty much trashed from too many years of high volume headphone use so I question whether I am a good judge of sound quality and, these are tricky phones to evaluate. Some days they sound pretty good and others not so good. Some well recorded tracks actually sound brilliant (Something Like Olivia - John Mayer) and I think they're pretty good for the money. Then I listen to some tracks that sound somewhat muddy and distorted? So I'm not sure what i have here. As a reference point, I've used some pretty high end phones from Sony, Sennheiser and Koss so i think i know what a good set of cans should sound like and these are definitely not bad, just not as good as i would like. On the up side i got them at a bargain price on Black Friday so I'll hang onto them for a bit longer and follow up on this review. If you are in need of quality phones and can afford something in the $100 range I'd probably recommend you look elsewhere for now though.

Sounds great to me
I had the Bose QuietComfort for several years it and recently went bad. IMO that's a potential problem with active noise cancellation systems because the sound has to be manipulated in some way to cancel out the noise. Still, I loved those headphones and nothing I tried matched the sound quality to me (unless I was willing to spend that kind of money again). Saw STREET in Today's Deals and jumped at it and now can say I've finally found the replacement headphones I've been looking for. In fact, I can't believe the sounds I've been missing the past year since my Bose went bad. I don't have the technical jargon to describe what I hear...I just know everything sounds great and I can hear just about everything. I haven't had to change the sound settings on my iPhone or Kinder Fire HD from default. All kinds of music I've played sounds so 'perfect' to my ears.I wasn't looking for noise cancellation as I don't travel so much anymore. Still these headphones do a pretty good job as my wife can attest when she couldn't get my attention to come to dinner the other night after yelling at me a few times ;). I was actually surprised how much I couldn't hear outside. It would be interesting on a plane. One issue was my ears did get a bit hot while I was doing some house cleaning while listening to my tunes. Not something I would normally do (house cleaning while listening to music that is), so maybe not much of an issue.
