Great Quick Reference Guide
This has turned out to be a great quick reference guide in writing about the middle ages, it helps to keep timelines and little facts straight when you are second guessing yourself.

Very informative, beautifully illustrated!
I purchased this book and 8 others in the series for our study of the Middle Ages this year. They are very informative and beautifully illustrated. They are really worth the money (I own the paperback versions). The 9-12 reading level is accurate. Younger children can also benefit from these books especially if they are read to them. The Table of Contents is as follows:Ideas and InventionsFarmingThe MillMaking ClothBuilding HomesBuilt of StoneMetalworkingWeaponsAlchemyMaking BooksMedicineAstronomy and TimekeepingTransportationGlossary and IndexSome of the information overlaps with that of other books in the series. The chapter on Medicine, for example, briefly summarizes what is covered in detail in the book Medieval Medicine and the Plague. Each book is 32 pages and full color. LQ.
