Knitting Knights: Beyond the Sounds of ABC

If you are doing the Logic of English program. I highly recommend this book along with the Whistling Whales. I didn't get the first book because I thought it was not necessary but I have a boy is struggling and so I thought I would get these books to help him see the phonograms more clearly in words and hear the different sounds they make and I am so glad I did. It reinforces the sounds by giving a picture and color coding the phonogram in the word. It has helped my son so much to have that visual along with the auditory. We read about five to ten pages every lesson ending with the new phonogram that is being taught in the lesson. I love them.

My little boys love listening to this book (all 3 in the series actually!)!!My 6 year old has gotten better at reading on his own since I started reading these books to him several times a week.

This series of 3 books is great for teaching the sounds of English. We are using them alongside of the Logic of English Foundations curriculum. This book is a great review tool rather than flashcards.

Excellent way to introduce multi-letter phonograms to younger kids. My 5 and 7 year old boys love the rhymes and silly pictures, it really helps to reinforce the foundation they need for reading in a way that is separate from workbook work.
