7102 Oil Heater Kit for 9kW - 22kW Air Cooled Standby Generators , Orange

Came with all parts and wiring needed for install. Took about a half hour to install. Darn expensive and the price dropped $10 day after i bought it, Hmmmm! I put it on a 2014 11KW after that polar vortex the other day -27 and it would not start during a power outage, that was a rough week. I am ready for the mini ice age thats coming!!!

The heater has been in use for a few winters, and I have had no issues with the part. The generator gets yearly maintenance, and the oil heater is good

I had someone else put it on cause I wasn’t for sure if I knew how to do it and it works like it’s supposed to and I just recently had my oil changed and I asked the gentleman if the oil thing is still working and he said yes, so so far so good it’s easy to take the part that goes around the oil filter off and put it back on. I would recommend this to anybody that has a whole house Generator. I’m satisfied with the product.

This heater really works well in the cold weather now I don't need to worry about my generator not starting up in sub zero temperatures. I installed it myself in about an hour everything comes in the kit you will need to hook it up, read the instructions carefully and watch a couple of you tube videos before installing and you will have no trouble at all. I did verify mine with a test meter that the correct voltage was at the hook up pin before my final connection but rechecked the warmer sleeve once the temperature dropped below 32 degrees Wow it was very warm and works as it should. I recommend this add on to my friends since we live in such cold winter months, think about it if your car outside at 10 below zero won't start how is your generator going to start in that temperature. Get the heater and be done with it peace of mind that's why you bought the generator in the first place. Hope this helps you on the fence make up your mind good luck.

I am a Generac Tech and I recommend these often to my customers for the cold Chicago area winter weather. This turns on at approximately 35° turns off I think at 40° the spec sheet has the exact numbers. I did verify that this turns on as it should after it was installed. The harness that comes with it is designed to also power the optional battery warmer, which I do NOT recommend buying. They cause more problems than they solve. Many have been known to overheat the battery and "boil" away water, some of the batteries have exploded as a result. The controller does more than an adequate job of maintaining the battery at more than sufficient voltage.

This is an excellent OEM product, Only wish you could still buy as a bundle. ( filter and battery heaters ) together. You can find the knock-offs as a bundle but there dont seem to last nearly as long. I had to buy mine seperately.

This device keeps the oil in my Generac stand-by generator warm in the crazy cold winters we have where I live. You'd be well advised to get one if your overnight temps drop well below freezing.

Installation was straightforward with clear instructions, and the air-cooled design is smart—it maintains the right temperature without overheating.

Fits well, easy to install

Le 1er que j'ai commandé était trop petit mais n'était pas de marque Générac mais il était beaucoup moins dispendieux et je n'était pas capable de l'insérer sur le filtre à l'huile. J'ai recommandé un vrai de marque Générac OEM et je viens de l'installer et super il s'installe #1 et est de bonne grandeur. Je recommande le vrai de vrai Générac et aucune autre marque

A must have for northern installations. Easy to install, with thermostatic control so only active when needed. I wouldn’t install a standby generator here (Canada, eh?) without including both this oil filter heater and the battery heating pad. They’re expensive, but worth it for the peace of mind. Much easier on the machine than trying to start in -30° with no preheating. Good luck with that.
