Absolutely Awful! Don't Waste Your Money
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I couldn't wait to get these pens! I bought them as a college gift to myself. I am what I would consider a pen connoisseur or collector and I am highly disappointed with these pens. Not only did they take forever to arrive 6 of them have tops that won't seal. When I try to close them the tops pop off in an almost springy motion. For the most part they wrote well but were def not worth the money or extra annoyance to make sure the tips stay on.

Great disposable set
I’m a vintage fountain pen collector, but sometimes I just want a disposable fountain pen I can throw into my bag without worrying about losing it, damaging it, or whatever. This colorful set comes in a sturdy case that makes them easy to store and tote. Thornton’s Office Supplies disposable pens are slightly longer and slightly thicker than the Pilot Varsity disposable, which actually makes it more comfortable in my hand. Disposable does not mean a substandard writing experience. These pens write smoothly with no skipping. They draw a wet line and start right away. As for the colors, I think they’re lovely. Yes, the yellow is, well, yellow, and perhaps is not the best color for writing, but it is good for highlighting and coloring art projects. These pens are medium point, and are true medium. I say that because medium Pilot Varsity points can tend toward fine (as most Japanese manufactured fountain pens do) and these are definitely medium. I’ve added photos of the difference in line width (the Varsity is the dark ink, Thornton's the sky blue) and of the colors.Good pens, good price, lovely colors.

Cap quality is poor - creates poor pen quality
I was excited to get these and love the variety of color, but they have been a disaster. The cap "popping off" that others describe is actually due to a small crack in the pen cap. The plastic is brittle and can't handle being removed/replaced, so within the first day of use the cap won't seal and allows the nib to dry overnight - which means a lot of force and work the next morning to de-gunk the dried ink and get it flowing again, and also means too-thick ink dispersal. One of the pens' caps is actually shattering along the seam and has broken into multiple sharp shards. I have been using nib and ink for years as a calligrapher and decided to give fountain pens a shot - I chose this brand because of the color variety, but now I think I'll just invest in a refillable and stick with black ink. Really disappointed.

Wish We Could Keep A Lid On These!
These pens are fine for writing notes to self, some short journal writing, etc. The ink can be inconsistent in the flow. What I did find frustrating is that the caps do not always stay on the pens. It is as if pressure builds up and then the cap pops off. I have found that I have to store these, in the plastic package they come in. For best results they are stored point down. The dark colors work fine and the colors are good. But orange, yellow and in some cases the light green are almost impossible to see under normal use with white paper. I like these for work because if a pen gets lost I will not be heartbroken. I like the way these fit in my hand when compared with other disposable fountain pens. I am still not sure if I will be reordering as the ink runs out (or drys up in the case of the red pen).

Ink is too inconsistent
I was excited to try these pens. Affordable, pretty colors. I 'm very familiar with fountain pens and know they have a tendency to not write smooth the first moment they touch paper after a bit and they need to "get going." These certainly have that, but I can't get them to write a full sentence without stopping and starting inkflow. They feel good in hand, the colors are great. But the ink isn't at all consistent to the nib. I tried a variety of paper types and all were the same. I'll keep them because they do write nicely (when they write!) But overall, disappointed in these.

USERS BEWARE: Majority of pens stop flowing more than they start.
I'm extremely disappointed. I absolutely LOVE using fountain pens. In the past, I have owned some pretty ones that worked really well. But just because these are cheap, it doesn't mean that half the pack should skip and dry out. My set, both blues, black, lite green, brown, purple and yellow all started skipping within the second words. The both blue and black were the WORST of the bunch. I was constantly having to stop and shake it, scribble and try to start the ink again. It's very frustrating. And it's MORE than half the pack. They sent me a Sondra package and this package caused additional issues: yellow, lavender, orange, red and forest green were the only ones suitable for wring great letters.I WANT MY REFUND!!!!!!!I should have just gone with that instead of allowing him to send another pack instead of allowing you guys send out another. Another waste of my time.

How do you mess up something as simple as a pen cap?
The pen itself writes fine, but the cap wont stay on. They must have used caps designed for other pens and didn't take into account the fact that the fountain pen nib is bigger than the tip on a normal pen. The caps just pop off, kind of a major defect if you want to be able to carry pens with you.

Bummed!
These pens aren't fluid writers. Gonna have to return. I also purchased the Varsity Fountain pens by Pilot and they work great!! Hope this helps you make a decision.
