Yukon Carrier Bearing Puller Set

Don’t kill yourself cutting bearing races or trying to pull them with a cheap HF tool. This Yukon tool does the job quickly and correctly without damaging the bearing cage when used properly. It’s built to last, so I can say after re-gearing two separate Jeeps, it still looks brand new.

Does not work as described - does not fit vehicle in description - 2008 Toyota Tacoma base - The inside diameter of this tools tube is not large enough in diameter to slide over the rear axle shaft taper at the wheel bearing end (bottoms out on the shaft itself) - This required us to space the plate from the bearing using the fasteners shown. I highly doubt this tool would be able to press any rear wheel bearing out if it cannot bolt to the bearing housing itself. Also, the flange just bent under the pressure before any movement of the axle was made. Not sure if the other two reviewers even used this product before but it certainly did not work in my application (and this vehicle has less than 65K on unsalted roads). I was so ecstatic to use this as not even the local Toyota dealer workshops do this job themselves, its always sent to a machine shop, guess ill have to make one myself. Really had high hopes for this god looking equipment. BTW - i am a current ASE master certified tech.

Definitely a must have for the shop! Removed the Dana 60 carrier bearings within 20 seconds each side and without damaging the bearing or shims!Is it expensive... yes, but never again going back to the bearing splitter/2 jaw method. Save yourself the hassle of using other methods. It's nice not having to buy or make setup bearings for your axle.

This tool worked very well. The one side bolts to the housing letting you push the axle out of the old bearing with a press. Flip the tool over and you can use it to push the axle into the new bearing and retainer. The extra flat plate must fit other Toyota trucks. Expensive but very well made, excellent machining and welding. Now I just need to do 5 or 6 more bearing jobs to pay for it!

Does not pull Timken bearings real well due to the face of the bearing not being large like the Koyo ones.

Yukon gears application chart inaccurate. Didn't fit the year model 4runner I had. So I couldn't even use it. Had to make a tool. If your bearing has a round flange bubble area, it will not work. Only works with flat bearings, flat on both sides. I am keeping it because I do work on those as well. So we will see how well it works once I find a truck it actually fits.

Using this for a gear swap for a dana 60 and 14bolt axle. Has made it so easy to assemble and dissemble. Recommend

Even if you do one gear swap it's pretty much worth the price. Lot easier then the bearing splitter and doesn't damage the bearing!!
