It works perfect on my 1998 ford f150 4.2l v6

Fit 2000 F150
This proved to be a direct replacement for my 2000 Ford F150 Lariat even though all of the fitment checks (Amazon and others) said it would not work. Was easy to install and seems to work just fine.I went for over a year w/ no horn until I saw another review on Amazon that said it fit this generation F150. Just wanted to add my voice and confirm that it fits in case someone else is on the fence. Besides, the Amazon listing said "Free Returns" so nothing to lose!

Easy Install
Horn wouldn't stop blowing when pressed. To install, remove 2 5/16" bolts on rear of steering after popping out the plugs that cover them. Then pull out the airbag/horn assembly a bit and take apart the two electrical connectors. Remove the two T25 Torx screws and pinch the tabs on both ends and release the horn section from the airbag. No need to mess with airbag. Remove old horn contact and note how it was inserted new in the same way it came out and re-connect electrical connectors; reinstall same way it came apart. Horn on my 2006 F350 now works as it should; part likely fits a LOT of Ford models. The part is not available through Ford.

Works great, but expensive
Installed on my 06 F-250 after the horn started blowing constantly after just a light tap. (Had to pull the fuse to get it to stop!) There are plenty of videos online on how to access the pad and it's straight forward to change. Easy replacement and exact fit. My biggest complaint is the price tag, which is why I only put 4 stars.

Worked great…until it didn’t.
Bought and installed May 2022, this is August 2023 and it died today. On my way to work and it randomly just started blowing the horn. Had to pull over and remove the fuse to get it to stop. I knew going with Dorman is a gamble, but, I expected something as simple as this to last longer than a year.Stick with Motorcraft or NAPA.
