Trekmates Cairngorm Gore-Tex Walking Gaiters

Ordered on Friday, arrived Monday morning so a very speedy service. These gaiters packing many features of more expensive models at a competitive price. The ankles are reinforced as is the zip which has a velcro fastening cover. There is a left and a right fitting, quality of finish looks and feels good and (first impression) they are lightweight and comfortable. Strap under the sole is adjustable with advice to "trim to size" along with a retaining strap to reduce chance of tripping. Yet to try them in mud and snow but anticipate there will be no issues. Size 3 fits UK size 10 boot/5' 11" person. See image for other sizes.

Very happy with these, they haven't let me down. Great value for money.Well made with good quality materials, the lace hook on the front is a useful addition not available on all makes. Sizes are accurate, for me at least and can accommodate those with a wider calf.

Well made and waterproof but lightweight so comfortable to wear. Only niggle is the "hook" designed to latch on to your boot laces .. it's a bit clunky so tricky to hook into the laces. Otherwise very nice gaiters. Will buy again.

These are a a very good pair of gaiters. They were recommended to me by a friend and I wish I’d got round to buying them sooner. A good price and excellent for keeping the mud off your trousers and an added layer of warmth.

These gators are working well, easy to put on and keeping the dirt and water out .I've done several munros and several Corbett in these , in wet winter weather.Keeping me dry so far.

Bought to replace my trusty Berghaus which, after 15 years, finally gave up the ghost. Didn’t want to spend as much this time so, after reading reviews, plumped for these. I’m pleased with them. I wear them when walking in my local hills with my dog and for the occasional break in the Lakes. They are not as sturdy as the Berghaus, and will probably not last 15 years, but they do the job, are comfy to wear and ..... I might not actually be walking much in 15 years anyway!!!

So far so good, great fit arrived in good time and looks smart. The test will be this weekend on Dartmoor! When I was looking at which brand to buy I struggled a bit with this one to find the right size I needed however, a previous reviewer had posted a photo of the sizing chart that comes with the actual product which was very helpful. I am a 5'3" lady with size 5 feet, and size 1 is perfect for me. I bought this one as it had a front hook which latched on to the bottom lace. Unfortunately in my case this was not enough to keep water out when cycling. The boots I have are waterproof except the tongue. It was useful though as it protects most of the tongue, but not the very bottom of it sufficiently where its letting in water. If you have fully waterproof shoes or boots, then this should work fine. Gore-Tex, so nice breathable material. Might not matter so much as its guarding your ankles right enough, which don't tend to be high sweat zones.
